Getting started
Onboarding process
The onboarding of an issuer takes place in two phases: first in the test and then in the production environment.
The following steps are required in each environment:
- The issuer provides a client certificate for authentication and communication with the API.
Separate certificates are required for the test and production environment.
- The issuer provides SIX Client Delivery with the public key of the client certificate.
- SIX Client Delivery completes the setup of the debit card issuer within the debiX admin portal, including the entry of the issuer certificate's DN.
- On the test system, SIX Client Delivery provisions a set of test data for funding debit cards provided by the issuer.
- The issuer calls the
/healthcheck
endpoint with all verbs to check the access to the API across all layers and to verify the client authentication. - If the issuer wishes to use the 3DS solution provided by SIX, the SIX Client Delivery must be contacted.
Getting involved
The following steps are taken to release a new version
- The issuer can submit requirements or wishes to SIX.
- After the analysis of the requirements, SIX communicates the release planning.
- The issuer receives the specification of the new version for review and gives feedback to SIX.
- The reviewed specification is implemented by SIX (server side) and the issuer (client side).
- The new version is published on the SIX test system.
- The issuer can test their client implementation against the SIX test system.
- Bug fixes are applied and patch versions are published on the SIX test system.
- The new version is published on the SIX production system.
- The issuer can switch their production client implementation to the new version.
